Aug. 21st-Dave was in a wreck. He was wearing his seatbelt and fell asleep on his way home from our house. He rolled his car and broke his neck--C6 to be exact. His spinal cord wasnt severed but bruised. He stopped to take two naps on the way home, but that wasnt enough. They paramedic that first got to Dave said that when they pulled Dave from the car, he was ableto squeeze their hands and cross his arms. The loss of that is a result of spinal shock. Spinal shock as a loss of sensation accompanied by motor paralysis with initial loss but gradual recovery of reflexes, following a spinal cord injury.

He is currently in Elks rehab in Boise Idaho, going through hours of rehab everyday. (That's what we get for putting 5$ in the "Good Karma" jar in Bozeman MT, definition of irony!!) In one way or another this is a test for all of us. BUT--those of you that know Davey-Boy understand that this is going to be something that he looks back and laughs at (once he can turn his head:)) He can move his arms all the way down to his wrists. His fingers still are not moving, but they are optomistic about things coming back the next couple weeks.

So,..now you all know pretty much what I do:) He could be transfering to Craigs in Denver, but who knows, that is his decision. I'll be updating this (and hopefully not forgetting!)
